Motorola wanted us to get the music community excited by the capabilities of its new phone. We decided to grab their attention poolside at the Miami Winter Music Conference. Thousands of passersby and more than 100 lifestyle media from over 30 countries tried their hand at creating their own digital graffiti and signature ring-tone on the new phone.

Via walls comprising three glass panels (each with its own library of sounds) that acted as soundboards, noises were triggered by painting on them with optical spray cans, with each design generating a unique signature ringtone. New handsets acted as speakers, and users downloaded the music and artwork to their mobiles.
