Grouse Camp
Famous Grouse came to us wanting their ‘Innocent Fete’. We believed they were sitting right on it… their base at the site of Scotland’s oldest distillery, Glen Turret in Perthshire. Home to a colourful history of smuggling and long tales we set about creating Grouse Camp. This unique experience is a rare opportunity to genuinely engage and reconnect with the great outdoors, taste the good life with your friends in the wild, master new skills, and unwind with a wee dram around the camp fire when the sun goes down.
Participants were challenged to create the perfect shelter, make water-safe to drink and prepare a meal they’d be proud to share around a self-made, robust fire. To help them along the way we created an official Log Book, full of tips and advice from how to strip nettle leaves, to why you should always approach a track from the northern side. The answer, by the way, is the light creates shadows of the track that are easily seen by the naked eye. Useful.
